More ways to become a NBA2K21 celebrity

However, the developers used this opportunity to add some more unique animations into the game. Including some new cartoons for alley-oops, that are incredibly satisfying to pull off. Additionally, I felt like dribbling and ball movement proved only easier overall when playing on Xbox Series X.

Among the more welcome adjustments in next-gen 2K21 is the accession of the G League. But when coming out of high school, players can decide to take the traditional path to the NBA and go to college, or input the G League. While college will provide the players with more exposure and fans, the G League will help them enhance their skills quicker, with increased progression on badges and abilities.

2K21 also fixes one of the annoying problems I brought up in my review, as gamers can now alter the camera angle in high school, faculty, and also the G League. Despite some solid changes and additions, MyCareer still feels unbelievably grindy. VC is difficult to find unless you dump a part-time job's worth of hours to the match, or crack open your wallet. Players may now hop into The W, a style that lets them create their own WNBA superstar. It's an wonderful slice of representation to an often ignored basketball team, though the mode is not nearly as fleshed out as 2K21's other core manners.

The City is a brand new version in NBA 2K21 on next-gen. Composed of a bunch of smaller parks and areas, The City is practically a massive version of The Neighborhood. There is more courts, which can be fine, but the experts stop there. You still have to buy a ball for 25k VC simply to play with friends on a private court, and the hosts are still very shoddy. NBA 2K21 on next-gen sees a lot of improvements into the basketball sim, but ironically only improves the regions of the game that were really excellent.

Looking at our overview of the original release of NBA 2K21, most of my cons are still present. MyCareer's narrative remains shallow, the online servers are still aggressively mediocre, and microtransactions continue to be intrusive. When you add the fact that 2K did not offer free updates for existing owners, forcing them to either buy the $100 version or buy it separately for $70, it's difficult to say that NBA 2K21 on next-gen is your much-needed salvation to get a continuously unsatisfactory franchise.
